Dr. Porter grew up in Decatur, Indiana and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Indianapolis. He earned his medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine where he also completed a surgical internship and his anesthesia residency. He is a founding member of St. Joseph Valley Anesthesia where he has spent his entire career. Dr. Porter enjoys boating, traveling, horseback riding, and spending time with his family.
John Porter, M.D.
Dr. Rudzinski was raised in Hammond, Indiana and received his undergraduate degree from Butler University. He graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine and then completed anesthesia residency at Loyola University in Chicago. Dr. Rudzinski returned to Indiana University for a Cardiac Anesthesia fellowship. He enjoys trying new wines, traveling, cooking, and gardening. Dr. Rudzinski is an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Dr. Lalich grew up in Munster Indiana and graduated from DePauw University. He graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine where he also completed his anesthesia residency. He began his career with St. Joseph Valley Anesthesia in 2002. Outside of work, Dr. Lalich likes to travel, read, and enjoys gourmet cooking.
Michael Lalich, M.D.
Dr. Jachim joined St. Joseph Valley Anesthesia in 2003. He holds degrees from the University of Notre Dame and the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his training at the IU School of Medicine Department of Anesthesia. Special clinical interests include regional anesthesia, pediatric anesthesia, technology in anesthesia. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesia and Anesthesia Clerkship Director for the IUSOM-ND campus. He is currently the chairman of the department. In his free time, Dr. Jachim enjoys cooking, photography, traveling, and binge watching with his family.
Matthew Jachim, M.D.
Dr. Bao grew up in Tianjin, China. He graduated from Tianjin Medical School where he completed a cardiothoracic surgery residency. He then moved to the United States and continued cardiac research at Harvard Medical School. In 2004, he enrolled in the Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Anesthesia. Upon his graduation in 2007, he began working with St. Joseph Valley Anesthesia. Dr. Bao enjoys fishing, swimming, tennis, and gardening. He also coaches children’s soccer and basketball.
Jialin Bao, M.D.
Dr. Hu was born and raised in China, earning his degree in medicine at Chongqing University of Medical Sciences. After a residency in the Department of Andrology & Urology, Dr. Hu taught as a professor at Chongqing University of Medical Sciences for six years. He came to the United States in 1996 when he accepted a postdoctoral fellowship at SUNY in Brooklyn, NY in the Department of Physiology and performed neuroscience research. In 2004, he entered residency training in the Department of Surgery at New York Methodist Hospital and completed his anesthesia residency at SUNY-Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn in 2007. In his free time, he enjoys reading, listening to music, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Mezsick grew up in central Indiana and graduated from Purdue University. He attended the Indiana University School of Medicine where he also finished his internship and residency training. He has been with St. Joseph Valley Anesthesia since 2009. In his free time, Steve enjoys regenerative farming, reading and spending time with his family.

Dr. Lambourne was born and raised in Cadillac, MI. She graduated from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH and the Medical College of Wisconsin. She then completed her anesthesia residency at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. In 2011, she joined SJVA. In her free time, Dr. Lambourne enjoys raising her two daughters, travel, music, movies, reading, cooking, and crafts.

Originally from Gujarat, India, Dr. Patel came to the Midwest with his family at the age of eight. Dr. Patel graduated from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois and subsequently earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He returned to Illinois to complete his anesthesia residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Patel joined Saint Joseph Valley Anesthesia in July 2014. In his free time he enjoys basketball, tennis, running/biking outdoor, playing poker and spending time with his wife.

Originally from Muncie, IN, Dr. Van Elk completed her medical and residency studies at the Indiana University School of Medicine. She joined SJVA in 2015. As an oenophile, she enjoys searching out new wineries, tennis,and travel. Dr. Van Elk has a special interest in regional anesthesia.

Dr. Tokars is a native of South Bend and earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University. He continued on to receive his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his residency training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Tokars is happy to be back in his hometown with family and friends. He enjoys live music, playing drums and cheering on Notre Dame football.

Dr. Granger, a native of Illinois, attended Centenary College of
Louisiana where he received his B.S. in Biology and Chemistry in 1975. He is a graduate of LSU School of Medicine- Shreveport. Dr. Granger trained in his anesthesia residency at University of Alabama - Birmingham with a subsequent pediatric anesthesia fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. His clinical interests lie in obstetric anesthesia, regional anesthesia and airway management. In his spare time, he enjoys classic cars, restoring old gas pumps, vintage telephones, and model railroading.
William Granger, M.D.
Dr. Lee is from Ashland, OH and graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Economics. After earning a masters degree in Biomedical Sciences from Tuft's University, Dr. Lee then completed his doctorate in medicine from St. George's University. He completed his anesthesia residency at the University of Toledo. In his free time, Dr. Lee enjoys jogging, golfing, and spending time with family.
